Common practice methods of tank design for transportation liquefied natural gas don’t take into account the specifics carriers operation under condition partial filling cryogenic tanks. A new method designing type-C is proposed. Method based on solving problem increasing volume transported by small-scale inland carriers. The usage a number limiting parameters: minimal allowable ventless time, values ship’s draft, and actual duration voyages between neighboring consumers. allows optimizing type, shape, wall thickness, heat insulation thickness tank. proposed aimed at enlargement hull dimensions. This achieved changing diameter, distance centers bi-lobe tank, insulation, maximum working pressure. An increase in coordination such parameters as draft vessel, minimum time storage, conditions. calculation determined operating conditions ingress takes contact area its vapors with metal calculations do not assumption thermal equilibrium liquid vapor fractions, which leads to need transfer from liquid. implementation shown example modeling two-way river-sea type vessel.
